Guests seeking local specialties will find plenty to enjoy at Samyan Congee and Drop By Dough, each just a stone’s throw away from our hotel. Udomsuk Market and Udomsuk Walk Night Market both offer tasty meals and refreshments, along with a colorful experience.


For a special treat, the nearby Somtum Khun Kan serves up Thai favorites at the highest level of quality, while maintaining local prices. This modestly decorated restaurant was a Michelin Plates award winner in 2019 and 2020, and earned 2023 Bib Gourmand in Bangkok recognition.

Youngsters will have their choice of 55 indoor sports activities at BEAT Active Thailand, conveniently located alongside Bangkok’s giant Exhibition Center (BITEC). For outdoor excitement, Pororo Aquapark Bangkok (accessible by free shuttle bus) has over 600 meters of water slide action — perfect for a hot day. Topgolf Megacity is also easily reached by shuttle bus, and has a driving range and other attractions.


Any visit to Udomsuk should also include a bicycle ride around peaceful Bang Krachao, known colloquially as the city’s ‘Green Lung’. Across the river and accessible by ferry, this beloved park-filled cycling district blends great scenery with outdoor exploration.

Rod Fai Night Market, open from Thursday through Sunday evenings, offers a massive open-air shopping experience.


A bit further, but still easily accessible by taxi, is the gigantic Seacon Square Srinagarindra shopping mall in Bangkok, over 500 meters long and with its own impressive night market in Bangkok around the corner. Other shopping malls are conveniently located alongside BTS Skytrain stations, and are therefore easily reached from Lumen Bangkok.

EXPLORE ROUTES


Accessible cultural attractions in Bangkok include Dhammamongkol Temple, featuring the world’s largest jade Buddha statue and the tallest stupa in Thailand, as well as Chirayu Poonsapaya Museum, an informative local heritage site. 101 True Digital Park, a unique technology-themed shopping mall, is also located a short walk from the hotel.


Further afield is the Erawan Museum, home of the largest hand-carved sculpture in the world. The museum is easy to access by Skytrain, and is an excellent stop on the way to Bangkok’s famed Ancient City — a beautiful cultural and architectural attraction that is well worth the additional taxi ride as you explore Bangkok and nearby.
